support

Heterosexual HIV/AIDS Service (HHAS) offers support to heterosexual people with HIV, their partners, family, friends and carers in the format of a freecall phone service, online forum, client events and peer support activities. While we are only able to answer the Freecall phone line between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday, the answering service is available at anytime. If a message is left, a HHAS staff member will return your call as soon as possible. The Freecall phone and answering service are located in the Heterosexual HIV/AIDS Service (HHAS) office, and is a confidential. Clients contact the service for information on upcoming events, to get information and support around health issues, referral to other services or just to touch base. The Freecall number is 1800 812 404.

The Online forum is a new addition to the Heterosexual HIV/AIDS Service (HHAS) website (www.pozhet.org.au). You are able to view other people’s questions, responses and comments without registering, however, to post something yourself, you need to register. All the details and instructions for registering are on the Forum page. You can remain totally anonymous on the forum by using an alias. All posts will be moderated before they appear on the site.

The range of client events Heterosexual HIV/AIDS Service (HHAS) offers are an opportunity to meet with other heterosexual people who are affected by HIV and HHAS staff.
