Retreat Weekend outside of Sydney. This weekend away is an opportunity to meet and connect with other people affected by heterosexual HIV in a relaxing setting. The Retreat weekend is very popular, so each year we call for expressions of interest and while we’d love to take everyone, we have to randomly allocate places.
HHAS West activities offer people affected by heterosexual HIV in the West of Sydney an opportunity to meet up with others in their local area. HHAS West isn’t limited to those in Western Sydney, any HHAS member can go. Similar to the Open House evenings, these activities are supportive and relaxed, with a topic and a guest speaker. We also welcome suggestions for activities in Western Sydney.
Annual Workshop. The annual workshop is held over a full Saturday late in the year. This is an opportunity to meet with other people affected by heterosexual HIV and discuss the issues. The day starts with a whole group session and then is broken up into different groups, including positive men, positive women, carers and family groups and some fun things also! We know it’s difficult for people outside of the greater Sydney area to get to regular Pozhets events, so we offer scholarships for accommodation to assist in making the annual workshop more accessible.
