Heterosexual HIV/AIDS Service (HHAS) events are for heterosexual people with HIV and for partners, family, friends or carers of heterosexual people with HIV.
Attending an event can be a daunting experience for someone who is newly diagnosed, is new to the service or it’s their first time at an event. Be assured that the Heterosexual HIV/AIDS Service (HHAS) events, clients, and guest speakers are all very welcoming, casual, warm and non-threatening. There is always a HHAS staff member at each event and if you wish, you can always bring along someone close to you.
Everyone is friendly and there is a great atmosphere at all the activities. A frequent concern for many new clients is around confidentiality. Clients at activities realize the importance of privacy, and as with any other health service, we keep all the information you give us confidential.
